Questions before your appointment? We get it. Here’s a shortlist of the questions we’re most frequently asked—and if you have one that isn’t listed here, we welcome you to call or email us.

  • Yes! Reaching out for help feels vulnerable, uncomfortable and even nerve-wracking. Talking with a professional takes strength, especially given that professional is a virtual stranger! Just know that you aren’t alone. We work with clients every day who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, Borderline Personality Disorder, chronic pain and trauma, and we do our best to ensure you always feel safe and supported. With time, those nerves will subside.

  • At your first appointment, expect a safe space and compassionate conversation. We’ll ask you questions about your past, but we won’t get into treatment just yet; the first session is all about getting to know you, your story and struggles, so we can personalize a treatment plan to your needs, whether that’s DBT, trauma therapy, OT, PRT, and/or CBT-I. And we’ll teach you one or two skills to help you start managing your mental health now—no waiting for your next appointment.

  • Yes, most extended benefits programs offer coverage for psychological services. We recommend you call your benefits company to understand the extent of its coverage, as each policy is different.

  • We can direct bill to most extended benefits companies—just ask your therapist when you schedule your initial appointment, and they’ll be able to confirm whether or not your company direct bills.

  • There is free two-hour parking in front of the building.
